Insurance Verification Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Verification Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily monitoring of patient census to determine health plan benefits and requirements for newly admitted patients
• Notify health plans upon admission and secure necessary authorizations and certifications
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for hospital admissions and maternity accounts

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, Medical Billing, or Financial Counseling
• Associates Degree and/or Revenue Cycle certifications preferred
• Experience in a hospital or clinic environment, health insurance company, or other healthcare financial service setting
• Knowledge of insurance and governmental programs, regulations, and billing processes
