Lead Database Engineer
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Lead Database Engineer who excels at mentoring and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of database engineers to design, implement, and maintain high-availability database systems running PostgreSQL
- Participate in project planning and sprint ceremonies to deliver database solutions in an Agile environment
- Provide technical guidance and support to other technology teams, ensuring compliance with security policies
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of engineering experience with Database Engineering, Systems Engineering, DevOps, and/or SRE
- 3+ years of experience leading and mentoring a team of engineers specializing in database systems
- Experience in cloud-based compute, storage, and containerization solutions
- Proficiency with operating PostgreSQL in a Linux environment is a plus
