Mainframe Systems Programmer
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Mainframe Systems Programmer- VSE.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, and implement new z/VSE operating systems and software
- Provide technical support and mentoring to team members while maintaining ongoing projects
- Monitor and tune systems software for capacity and performance
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in a related role
- Fluent in VSE JCL with the ability to advise on JCL issues
- Installation and administration knowledge of ISV and IBM z/VSE software
- Familiarity with application environments including RPG, COBOL, Assembler, and REXX
- Working knowledge of IBM Z hardware and general networking concepts
