Job Summary

A company is looking for a Managing Editor to oversee the Editorial Team processes and ensure project completion meets high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Editorial Director on vision and strategy for Editorial Team processes
  • Manage and optimize Editorial Team processes, including guidelines, project management, and scheduling
  • Create and maintain team guidelines and resources for editorial review work
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in history, education, Jewish studies, English, journalism, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in developing curriculum or educational materials as a writer/editor
  • At least two years of experience in project management under tight deadlines
  • Solid understanding of the K-12 educational landscape and educational publishing industry
  • Preferred: knowledge of Judaism, Jewish history, and K-12 social studies content
