Ohio Licensed Outpatient Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Outpatient Coder - SS Revenue Cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical record documentation and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT IV codes
• Abstract required data per facility specifications and perform medical necessity checks for claims
• Monitor and work on accounts to ensure timely and compliant processing of outpatient claims

Required Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical Degree in Health Information Management or Coding Certification
• Completion of Coding Curriculum with one year of coding experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology
• Proficiency in coding software tools and electronic medical records
• Active coding certification (RHIA, RHIT, CCA) or willingness to obtain within one year
