Orthopedic Surgical Coder
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Professional Ortho Surgical Medical Coder - Remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality surgical coding on orthopedic surgery cases and E/M as assigned
- Maintain knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding principles and ensure accurate coding of all services documented
- Review coding queue daily, address charts, and communicate necessary corrections to the facility
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 3 years of physician coding experience, including both IP and OP coding
- 2-3 years of experience coding orthopedic procedures
- Active CPC certification from AAPC
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
