Job Summary
A company is looking for a Coder III (Medical Coding).
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records to identify principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures
- Assign codes based on coding guidelines and federal regulations
- Provide education and support to physicians for accurate documentation and coding
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required
- One of the following coding certifications is required: CPC, CRC, or RHIT
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
- Experience with encoder software and EMR systems
