Principal Underwriter
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Principal Underwriter - REMOTE.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluates utilization and financial experience of customers and prospects, focusing on complex cases in the Health Plan marketplace
- Researches and analyzes pricing strategies in the PBM industry and provides underwriting services to ensure profitability
- Supports Sales and Client Engagement in client presentations and negotiations related to pricing and performance guarantees
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, accounting, or related field, or equivalent work experience; HS diploma or GED required
- 8 years of related work experience in Finance or Accounting, including 3 years in the PBM industry
- In-depth knowledge of mathematical applications used in underwriting, including business mathematics and algebra
- Ability to present information effectively to Senior and Executive Leadership
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship
