Remote HCC Medical Coder

Job Summary

A senior care company is filling a position for a Remote HCC Medical Coder.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Ensuring compliance with all applicable CMS Risk Adjustment Hierarchical condition category
• Overseeing assigned providers
• Reviewing for clinical indicators and query providers

Qualifications for this position include:

• Advanced knowledge of ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding
• Knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, and physiology, major disease processes and pharmacology
• Current coding certification to include one of the following: CRC, CPC, CCS, CPC-H, CCS-P, RHIA, and RHIT
• High school diploma
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, Coding and compliance standards
• Fundamental principles of writing and grammar
