Remote Medical Record Review Team Coder

Job Summary

A health insurance company has a current position open for a Remote Medical Record Review Team Coder.

Must be able to:

• Perform medical record reviews of retrospective medical claims relative to all types of fraud, waste, and abuse cases
• Document coding review findings on a claim level and draft reports of findings to be relied upon in investigations
• Ensure compliance with the Fraud, Waste and Abuse policies, reimbursement policies and coverage guidelines

Qualifications Include:

• Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree plus 2+ years of equivalent work experience with healthcare related employment
• Certified Professional Coder
• Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
