Job Summary

A healthcare company is filling a position for a Remote Patient Service Center RX Refill Patient Support Medical Assistant.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Answering incoming phone calls in a call center environment using a variety of clinical tools, often as an authorized provider delegate
• Processing prescription refill requests in real time from incoming calls, and electronic prescription refill faxes from pharmacies
• Assisting the Triage Nurse team by providing patients, other healthcare providers, and outside facilities

Required Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Medical Assistant Certification or completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program
• Experience using EMR systems, preferably Athena Health
