Job Summary

A genetics and biology technology developer has a current position open for a Remote Senior Bioinformatics Scientist.

Must be able to:

• Lead investigation and resolution of technical problems
• Design, develop, and maintain highly accurate computational algorithms for large-scale analysis of novel types of genomic data
• design and develop pipelines in production-grade C/C++ software

Qualifications Include:

• Experience developing next generation sequencing data analysis methods.
• Strong background in computer science algorithms relevant to bioinformatics
• Experience with using version control systems such as git
• Knowledge or background in methods pertaining to structural variants, copy number variation, graph references
• Strong communication skills and ability to describe complex analyses to audiences with diverse backgrounds
• PhD with 0+ years' experience in academic or industrial settings in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics or Computer Science, or equivalent
