Senior Coding Educator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Coding Educator and Data Consultant.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct data analysis and generate reports to ensure documentation and coding compliance
• Perform audits of coding and medical record documentation, identifying areas for improvement
• Create and implement education plans for coders, CDIs, and providers based on findings

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
• One of the following certifications is required: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CDIP, or CCDS
• Broad knowledge of complex disease processes, preferably in an inpatient setting
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, Official Coding Guidelines, and Medicare Billing Rules
• Strong leadership skills and competency in the teaching/learning process
