Specification Writer for Architectural Hardware
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Specification Writer (Architectural Hardware).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project specifications for the entire portfolio of products, solutions, and services
- Write specifications within the relevant sections of CSI's Master Format Division 8, 10, 11, and 28
- Ensure specifications comply with relevant building codes and local codes applicable to the project
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years' experience in the door/hardware or a related industry
- Proven knowledge of IBC-International Building Code, NFPA 101-Life Safety, NFPA 80-Fire Doors and Frames, NFPA 105, and ADA compliance regulations
- Current AHC certification (preferred)
- Experience with Bluebeam PDF software (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree or technical/vocational school degree or equivalent (preferred)
