Job Summary
A company is looking for a HIM Coding Coordinator for the OP Team B.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs essential job functions of a certified coder and serves as an expert within a coding service line
- Mentors and trains new coding staff, while conducting peer audits and facilitating staff meetings
- Assists leadership with department initiatives, budget preparation, and policy maintenance
Required Qualifications
- Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) or equivalent coding certifications
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-Based (CCS-P) certification
- Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification
- Experience in health information management and coding practices
