Job Summary
A company is looking for a Coding Specialist for a remote, nationwide position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review physician documentation and apply appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes
- Notify physicians of insufficient or ambiguous documentation and request clarification
- Review denied claims and resubmit as necessary
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of medical coding experience
- Completion of a Medical Terminology course or related study
- Basic knowledge of pathology, disease, and anatomy
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
