Job Summary
A company is looking for a Staff Computational Biologist.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of computational methods and algorithms for biological data analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance understanding of data properties and clinical context
- Contribute to strategic planning and scientific direction for computational biology initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Masters in computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience with a Ph.D. or 8+ years with a Masters in biotech or pharma
- Proven track record of developing quantitative models for biological data
- Expertise in NGS/bioinformatics, statistics, and machine learning for high-dimensional datasets
- Experience in diagnostics and familiarity with database technologies is a plus
