Job Summary
A company is looking for a Coder I - ProFee.
Key Responsibilities
- Abstracts data from medical records into Epic and 3M 360 for detailed case summaries
- Identifies and codes diagnoses and procedures according to ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines
- Responsible for coding ED, Diagnostic, and Ancillary records, including documentation quality assurance
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- 1 year of outpatient coding preferred
- Completion of a coding course or 1 year of outpatient coding experience
- Certification as CPC, COC, CPC-P, CCS, or equivalent required
- Additional coding certifications such as CRC, CIC, RHIT, or RHIA required
