Job Summary
A company is looking for an HCC Coder for a remote contract position in the healthcare industry.
Responsibilities:
- Perform medical record diagnosis code abstraction based on clinical documentation
- Identify diagnosis and chart level impairments and documentation improvement opportunities
- Maintain a minimum 95% accuracy on coding quality audits
Qualifications:
- 1 year of professional coding experience
- Familiarity with HCC coding
- AHIMA certified credentials (RHIT, CCS) or AAPC certified credentials (CPC, COC, CIC, or CRC)
- Extensive knowledge of ICD-10
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
