Job Summary
A company is looking for an Inpatient Medical Coder.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review clinical documentation and assign diagnostic and procedural codes for Facility Inpatient records
- Validate MS-DRG calculations to accurately capture diagnoses and procedures
- Perform documentation review and assessment for accurate abstracting of clinical data
Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of recent and relevant hands-on coding experience
- Active CCS, CCA, CCS-P, COC, CPC, CPC-A, RHIT or RHIA credential
- Ability to code complex Inpatient records fir a large teaching level health system
- Able to validate MS-DRG calculations to accurately capture the diagnoses and procedures documented
