Job Summary
A company is looking for a Medical Coder Compliance Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform coding quality audits on outpatient records to ensure compliance with coding guidelines
- Develop and coordinate educational programs regarding coding compliance and documentation
- Provide ongoing feedback and training to coding staff to improve coding accuracy
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field
- Registered Health Information Technologist or Administrator (RHIT/RHIA), CCS, or CPC certification
- Three years of experience in coding or auditing CPT, ICD-10-CM, and modifier assignment
- Extensive knowledge of regulations and policies related to documentation, coding, and billing
- One to three years of experience using 3M 360 CAC and/or other encoders
