Medical Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coding Auditor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review hospital charges against medical record and documentation to determine appropriate code assignments
• Understand billing and coding requirements for government and commercial payers
• Utilize coding resources to ensure accuracy in coding for assigned services

Required Qualifications:

• CPC, CPC-H (COC), CPMA, CIC, RHIA, RHIT and/or CCS-P certification
• 2-4 years of experience in billing, charge documentation, charge audit or charge capture activities
• Experience coding multi-specialties preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical processes and coding
• Knowledge of CMS guidelines, Ambulatory Payment Classification, and reimbursement structures preferred
