Job Summary
A company is looking for a Mortgage Customer Outreach Specialist I responsible for collecting on delinquent mortgage loans.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate contact with consumers in early stages of default to collect past due payments while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
- Collect financial information, assess repayment ability, and arrange repayment plans as necessary
- Handle inbound calls regarding mortgage loan products and identify suspect situations, escalating issues to management when needed
Required Qualifications
- A combined 2 years' higher education and/or relevant work experience
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally over the phone
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
