Job Summary
A company is looking for a Remote ProFee E&M Orthopedic Surgery Coder.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review medical records to identify relevant diagnoses and procedures
- Abstract information from medical records based on client guidelines
- Solicit clarification from physicians regarding ambiguous or conflicting documentation
Required Qualifications:
- CCS, RHIT, RHIA, CCS-P, CPC, or CIC certification
- Minimum of 1 year of professional fee coding experience; 5-7 years preferred
- Strong skills in pro-fee Orth/Spine and Gen surgery
- Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding principles and guidelines
- Experience with Cerner and Optum Encoder Pro preferred
