Job Summary
A company is looking for a HIM Coder Resident.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive hands-on training and feedback on assigning codes to patient accounts
- Assign and sequence diagnosis and procedure codes using appropriate classification systems
- Verify charge entries and resolve billing edits at the time of coding
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Zero to one year of ICD-10 and/or CPT-4 hospital coding experience or other healthcare experience
- Proficiency of 85% or greater on coding audit reviews
- Basic understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Ability to work independently as a remote employee
