Remote Database Administrator
Job Summary
A mobile software development company is in need of a Remote Database Administrator.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Improving our database implementation
- Helping Implement data standards, governance, processes, and policies
- Supporting our engineering teams in the use of PostgreSQL
Qualifications Include:
- Have managed and administered relational databases, PostgreSQL preferred, for 4+ years
- Experience implementing proactive policies for performance profiling and load testing
- Experience with NoSQL cloud databases such as Couchbase or Firestore
- Comfortable with Infrastructure as Code
- Familiar with Postgres extensions such as PostGIS
- Well versed in proper design and architecture within relational databases and PostgreSQL
