Remote External Communications Director

Job Summary

A manufacturer of residential cabinets is seeking a Remote External Communications Director.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Define and execute an external communication strategy that aligns with and supports the company’s strategy
• Develop a strong understanding of the company’s products, markets served, manufacturing capabilities and strategy
• Partner with other company communications teams to develop and align messaging and collaborate on communications plans as needed

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• 10+ years’ experience in corporate external communications or public relations
• 3+ years’ experience in managing people
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or related field
• Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Strong verbal communication skills, as well as ability to present well
• Knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media
