Remote Medical Inpatient Coder II

Job Summary

A healthcare organization is in need of a Remote Medical Inpatient Coder II.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Assigning diagnosis codes and procedure codes
• Maintaining consistent coding accuracy rate of 95% or better
• Monitoring daily the Fatal Edit report to ensure all assigned records are coded on a timely basis

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• Must be able to use the current version of ICD diagnosis and procedure codes and CPT-4 coding classification systems
• Must meet the established productivity standards for each visit type coded
• Must be able to maintain professional certification and technical competency
• Must be able to act as a resource to hospital staff for all coding related questions
