Job Summary
A non-profit, multi-specialty, academic medical center is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Professional Fee Coder III.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Comparing and reconciling daily patient schedules
- Maintaining records to be used for reconciliation
- Investigating and resolving charge errors
Qualifications Include:
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
- CCS-P, CPC, RHIA, RHIT, COC, or CCA
- 3 years coding to include 1 year of complex coding experience in a health care environment
- Working knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Specific training related to CPT procedural coding and ICD9 CM diagnostic coding through continuing education
- Demonstrate and maintain accuracy and proficiency in coding and claims editing
