Job Summary
A medical consulting company is in need of a Remote Surgical Cardiology Evaluation Management Certified Professional Coder.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining a working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding principle
- Being responsible for working directly with the IQC staff to ensure quality standards are being met for each facility
- Being accountable for coding or pending every chart placed in their queue within 24 hours
Skills and Requirements Include:
- High School Diploma
- CPC certification from AAPC
- Minimum 3-5 years outpatient professional coding experience in Interventional Radiology
- 2-3 years coding Vascular procedures. Other cardiovascular surgical coding preferred as well
- EMR experience; Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong Working Knowledge & experience with Federal & State Coding regulations and Guidelines
