Job Summary
A company is looking for a Certified Professional Coder Representative.
Key Responsibilities
- Review medical records to verify documentation for diagnostic and procedural codes
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations, monitoring trends and recommending improvements
- Maintain accurate documentation of coding activities and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
- CPC certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in an outpatient setting
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems and guidelines
- Proficient in Google Sheets and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
