Transportation Planning and Execution Manager
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Transportation Planning & Execution Manager for their remote position in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain 3rd party carrier relationships
- Perform transportation optimization within Transportation Management Systems
- Ensure daily execution of transportation plans and resolve root cause issues in delivery operations
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years hands-on experience with carrier management and general logistics and operations background
- Bachelor's degree with a Supply Chain focus preferred
- Proficient understanding of WMS/TMS/Netsuite/Telematics systems
- Strong understanding of transportation basics such as owned fleet, spot markets, routing guides, LTL, truckload and intermodal modes of transportation
- Exposure to owned fleet routing and driver assignments
