Underwriting Assistant
Job Summary
A company is looking for an Underwriting Assistant in the Programs category.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with underwriters to maintain 24-hour response time and handle requests on existing accounts
- Process risk inspections and ensure compliance with underwriters and agents/brokers
- Develop and maintain business relationships with agents and brokers to generate profitable business
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of insurance industry experience, including knowledge of general liability and property
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
- Excess and Surplus lines experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with wholesale agents and brokers preferred
- Professional designations (RPLU, CPCU, AU, ASLI, etc.) are a plus
