Job Summary
A company is looking for a Coder Inpatient.
Key Responsibilities
- Abstract, code, sequence, and interpret clinical information from various medical records
- Assign correct principal and secondary diagnoses and procedure codes while ensuring accurate sequencing
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and document productivity in specified systems
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of coding experience in an acute care setting
- Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program
- CCS credential required
- Experience working with CDI nurses
- Meditech and 3M experience preferred
