Job Summary
A company is looking for a Hospital Inpatient Coder.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform acute inpatient coding for various specialties using ICD-10 PCS codes
- Ensure coding accuracy and productivity standards are met
- Utilize Computer Assisted Coding (CAC) tools and manage coding for hospital reimbursement
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of acute inpatient coding experience
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification required
- Experience with ICD-10 PCS coding in multiple specialties
- Preferred experience with 3M CAC 360 and EPIC systems
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management is preferred
