Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certified Coder in the Department of Medicine for Inpatient Billing & Coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical record documentation to select appropriate billing codes
• Code evaluations and management to appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Assist coders and prepare case reports for the billing process

Required Qualifications

• Must possess one of the following coding credentials: AHIMA (CCA, CCS, CCS-P) or AAPC (CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CPC-H-A)
• No specific work experience required
• A diploma, certification, or degree is not required
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred
• Previous coding experience or equivalent education in a related field is preferred
