A company is looking for an Inpatient Coder.
Key Responsibilities
- Select and sequence ICD-10 and/or CPT/HCPCS codes for various patient types
- Review and analyze clinical records to ensure accurate MSDRG/APC assignments
- Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses, procedures, and discharge dispositions
Required Qualifications
- An active AHIMA or AAPC credential
- Three years of recent and relevant hands-on coding experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding guidelines
- Ability to consistently code at a 95% accuracy and quality threshold
- Proficient computer knowledge, including basic MS Office skills
