About the role:

Achieve is seeking a part-time/fractional (up to 20 hours per week) Manager, HR Regulatory & Benefits to regularly assess and ensure the company's compliance with federal and state employment laws and any federal and state reporting requirements in addition to regulations regarding the administration of the company's 401(k) and group healthcare plans. In partnership with other HR resources and the management team, this person will create and implement new and revised documentation, controls, and procedures to ensure such compliance as well as develop and deliver training on employment law compliance.

This person will establish and conduct regular audits to identify any compliance gaps and devise and implement an effective action plan to resolve any such gaps and mitigate future risks of noncompliance. Additionally, this person will proactively monitor proposed, amended, and newly enacted federal and state legislation, regulations, and guidelines which may require internal changes in order to remain compliant. If an employee raises a specific concern that is related to employment law (i.e. Wage & Hour/FLSA, ADA, EEOC, state mandated family and/or sick leave programs, etc.), this person will coordinate with the COO and Legal counsel as needed and resolve such matters as directed with the employee.

This Manager will also be responsible for coordinating with the company's benefits broker, the HR Specialist, and respective insurance carriers for effective benefits plan administration for 401(k), group medical, group vision, and group dental plans - including facilitation of annual open enrollment and the management of newly eligible enrollments and mid-year election change requests due to qualifying events. This Manager will also serve as the primary point of contact in HR for staff questions related to all benefit programs.

This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, HR with a dotted line to the COO.

Compensation: $25 - $35 USD per hour

Roles & Responsibilities:

Regularly assess and ensure the company's compliance with federal and state employment laws and any federal and state reporting requirements in addition to regulations regarding the administration of the company's 401(k) and group healthcare plan

Create and implement new and revised documentation, controls, and procedures to ensure such compliance as well as develop and deliver training on employment law compliance

Manage and/or assist with other HR projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field

5 + years-experience as an HR professional, minimum of 2 years direct experience researching, analyzing, and implementing resolutions for federal and state employment law compliance (e.g., Wage and hour/FLSA, hiring practices, anti-harassment, EEOC, ADA, Paid Sick Leaves, Leaves of Absence, etc.)

Ability to research and analyze information and convert related activities into a comprehensive work plan

Ability to interact with various levels of leadership with the ability to present, facilitate, and train

Outstanding follow-through and extreme attention to detail

Proven Project Management skills with experience leading complex projects

Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to compose effective reports and correspondence

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

Proficiency with Google Workspace (Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Sheets, etc) or Microsoft Office

Ability to learn new software quickly

PHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP highly desired
