Job Summary
A company is looking for a Mainframe System Modernization SME.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and gather requirements for modernizing the mainframe COBOL-based accounting system
- Analyze legacy code and processes to identify areas for improvement and migration to more modern platforms
- Support the migration strategy to transition from the current mainframe environment to a more efficient technology stack
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of five years of experience with COBOL
- Experience in legacy system modernization efforts using tools and technologies for scanning legacy COBOL code
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial management principles
- Proficiency in developing process maps and workflows using tools such as Visio
