Job Summary
A company is looking for a Remote Medical Coder - Outpatient Ancillary/ED.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality coding on ancillary and emergency room records
- Maintain knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding principles, regulations, and guidelines
- Code services with appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes, seek proper documentation when necessary
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of facility emergency room coding experience
- Hold one of the following credentials: RHIT, RHIA or CCS
- Good working knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology as well as Medical Terminology
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong working knowledge and experience with Federal and State Coding regulations and guidelines
