Outpatient Surgery Medical Coder

Job Summary

A healthcare company in the healthcare industry is seeking an Outpatient Surgery Medical Coder.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assign appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes for outpatient surgery services
• Analyze and correct CCI edits and medical necessity edits
• Adhere to coding guidelines and maintain required levels of performance

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Professional coder certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC
• Ability to use a PC in a Windows environment
• 2+ years of Outpatient Facility coding experience
• ICD-10 experience
