Job Summary
A biotechnology company has an open position for a Remote Bioinformatics Project Manager.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Maintaining coherent timelines for sophisticated projects/initiatives involving multiple teams
- Helping establish and implement Jira based project intake & execution plans
- Providing feedback and/or direction to bioinformatics partners during project/task planning
Qualifications for this position include:
- Proven knowledge of human genetics, molecular biology, and NGS techniques used in bioinformatics and lab processes
- Outstanding analytical and strategic problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish solid relationships and elicit cooperation from a variety of partners
- Experience working in cross-functional teams, especially with software engineers, bioinformaticians, and scientists
- Experience managing molecular diagnostic assay / genetic test development and validation projects
- 8 years experience + Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience or any equivalent
