Job Summary
A managed healthcare and insurance company is in need of a Remote Hospital Outpatient Medical Coder.
Must be able to:
- Monitor assigned work queues to ensure all records are charged/coded in a timely matter
- Generate coding queries for clarification regarding physician documentation as needed
- Stay abreast of all changes in coding conventions and coding updates
Qualifications for this position include:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Professional coder certification with credentialing from AHIMA and/or AAPC (RHIT, RHIA, CCA, CPC, COC, CPC-P, CCS) to be maintained annually
- 1+ year of hospital outpatient coding experience within a hospital setting
- Experience with ICD-10
- Ability to use a PC in a Windows environment, including MS Excel and EMR systems
- Ability to manage significant workload
