Job Summary
A company is looking for a Pre-Bill Outpatient Coder Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and correct patient accounts based on the 3M OCE/EAPG report
- Combine accounts according to payer requirements and ensure timely claim generation
- Maintain coding certification and stay updated on coding systems and regulations
Required Qualifications
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Coding Specialist-Physician based (CCS-P) credential
- Completion of a coding certificate program or significant coding experience
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credential
- 3-5 years of recent acute care hospital outpatient coding experience
- Experience with the 3M OCE report or charge capture determination
