Job Summary
A company is looking for a CDI Second Level Reviewer.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-level, secondary case reviews to ensure accurate and comprehensive provider documentation
- Identify potential gaps or opportunities for improved provider documentation through timely reviews
- Collaborate with CDI, coding, and providers to enhance clinical documentation quality and identify trends for improvement
Required Qualifications
- CCDS or CDIP certification required
- RN preferred but not required
- A minimum of 3 years' CDI experience
- Thorough knowledge of official medical coding guidelines, CMS, and private payer regulations
- Ability to communicate collaboratively with physicians and hospital staff to promote quality improvement
