Job Summary
A company is looking for a Certified Coder - Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Key Responsibilities
- Review medical record documentation to select appropriate diagnoses and procedures
- Code evaluation and management to CPT and diagnosis to ICD-10 codes
- Assist coders and increase physician awareness of documentation requirements
Required Qualifications
- Must have one of the following coding credentials: AHIMA (CCA, CCS, or CCS-P) or AAPC (CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CPC-H-A)
- No specific work experience is required
- A diploma, certification, or degree is not required
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred
- Previous coding experience or equivalent education is preferred
