Coding Documentation Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Documentation Manager for their Client Services department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform concurrent and retrospective review of medical records to ensure accurate documentation of clinical conditions and procedures
• Educate providers on accurate clinical documentation and collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve documentation issues
• Review medical records for correct coding, provide training and support to coding staff, and assist in new client start-ups

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years coder training and/or chart auditing experience
• Experience as a clinical nurse or Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist
• Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and payor-specific coding/reimbursement policies
• Coding certification and associate or bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field
• Extensive knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS coding guidelines, and MIPS Quality Reporting
