CPC Certified Orthopedic Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Orthopedic Surgery Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Review documentation and diagnostic results to extract data and apply appropriate CPT, Modifiers, and ICD-10 codes
• Accurately code conditions and procedures in accordance with AMA CPT guidelines and ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines
• Support coding manager in coding, billing, internal and external reporting, and regulatory compliance

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or 5+ years of Orthopedic Coding experience in lieu of diploma/GED
• 3 years of coding experience in Orthopedic surgical procedures and podiatry in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification from AAPC
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
• Must maintain certification throughout employment
