Job Summary
A healthcare company has an open position for a Remote Clinical Documentation Quality Auditor.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Review and interpret patient files and care plans against criteria to determine appropriate documentation
- Identify documentation issues that impact coding accuracy
- Clearly communicate opportunities for documentation improvement related to risk adjustment coding and clinical documentation issues
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Strong knowledge of quality improvement training such as NAQH certification, Six Sigma, Lean or the equivalent
- Ability to implement/support a clinical documentation improvement program
- 2+ years experience performing HCC retrospective risk adjustment chart review and coding/auditing
- AAPC or AHIMA certification
- 2+ years experience performing ICD-10-CM coding and auditing
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other Microsoft Office products
