Remote Hospital Inpatient Medical Coder

Job Summary

A business strategy and consulting services firm has an open position for a Remote Hospital Inpatient Medical Coder.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Achieving and maintaining 95% accuracy in coding while maintaining a high level of productivity
• Maintaining a working knowledge of ICD-9-10 PCS and CPT coding principles
• Assuring that all services documented in the patient's chart are coded with appropriate ICD-10/PCS codes

Position Requirements Include:

• Minimum 3-5 years+ previous work experience coding hospital acute care Inpatient records
• Must have experience working in systems such as EPIC, Cerner, Optum and/or 3M
• CCS, RHIT or RHIA Certification from AHIMA required
• Must have advanced knowledge of Coding clinics ICD-10-CM and PCS
• Must have good working knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology as well as Medical Terminology
